Heart of Achievement

Congratulations Isabella for getting the Heart of Achievement Certificate today.  We are proud of you!

Florencia's brand new baby brother came for his first visit to school. He is 14 days old and we were all so pleased to see him. We were amazed at

how little his fingers were compared to ours!

Discovery Time - Old fashioned fun!

Discovery Time this week focused on having fun doing lots of old fashioned fun activities.  We played knuckle bones, jumped with elastics, played marbles, watched a classic old movie, made hokey pokey, painted stones, made lanterns, played with cars, trains, dolls and dressed up. We all had lots of fun and it was great to see the children working hard to display our value of the week, Community.

Today we watched the temporary staffroom being manouvered into its new location at the end of Room 21. First we watched the back half of the Portacom being lifted off the truck by a crane and lowered onto several trolley bases. It was then simply rolled into position. Then the second half was driven on site and again lifted and rolled into place, with the two halves of the building magically being joined together! Over the next couple of days, the plumbers and electricians will be connecting the water and electricity and then it will be ready for the staff to use.

Maths fun

Today Mrs Wallace's Maths group explored the numbers from 0-20 using bead strings. We had to count the beads carefully to make sure they matched the numeral card.

Time to Play

Today we spent some time exploring all the fun things in our room.  It was lovely to watch the children talk, build connections with their friends, play and enjoy their environment.

Yoga Time

We enjoyed doing Yoga in class today as it was very cold outside.  What great focus everyone!
